Akisato made her debut in 1982 with "Senaka ni Hana wo shotte" on Shuukan Shoujo Comic.

According to herself she doesn't like drawing but she wants to tell stories her way. She's well-known for her unusual story-twists and her good sense of humour. Akisato's works, romantic or not, may also appeal to many readers who don't necessarily like shoujo-manga, but also should be read with care by people who have problems with homosexuality.
