Tsubame is kind to his friends, but as many shonen heroes are merciless to his enemys. If someone he cares about is in danger Tsubame will go as far as killing the attacker as he did with both the Sand Squid and Deneb (his first two opponents). He can also be hard-nosed when it comes to negotiations, as seen in the first chapter when he discusses the price of the subway car with a client. He is usually reckless, but there are times when he thinks about his strategy before charging in.
