Cursed by a family accident, Jamie was born unable to touch anything without killing it. After meeting a local loner from school, Francisco, Jamie learns of a rumor about how to cure his hands before they take his own life. Because of his lack of friends and human contact, Jamie is very skittish and shy (especially around women). He hates when people refer to him as Jamie, insecure that it makes him seem even more feminine. Jamie lives alone with his grandfather, hates spicy food with a passion, and tries to look tough so people will leave him alone.
