Shogo Ban is a cocky, arrogant, and fiercely driven youngster who aspires to become a first-class chef. He thinks he is ready to flaunt his skills when he goes to work at the prestigious Trattoria Baccanale in Tokyo, but his pride is shattered when he finds himself completely helpless in the kitchen. Despite all the obstacles in his path (being rebuked, beaten, disgraced, and a multitude of other things), he presses onward with an ever positive attitude in pursuit of his dream.
