Kenji Kazama claims that he's special because he owes his life to him so thats one of the reasons why he attends his class even though he's a delinquent. He's a very laid back guy that actually allows his students to get away with most things and he just makes an excuse according to the situation to allow them to finish what they were doing. According to Kenji Kazama's entire class and Takao he's awesome! In the past, the Kazama Party was at the top department store's roof when a fire suddenly started downstairs. Shaun Konekone suddenly appeared with a rope which allowed them to climb safely down from the roof thus saving their lives. However, Kenji Kazama didn't want to owe this 'old fart' his life, so Shaun told him that he'll pay off his debt to him if he promises to help anyone he sees in the need of help, just as he did for him. He is a parody of the real-life actor Sean Connery with elements of Indiana Jones, and supposedly wields the "Dandy" element.
