Kaneda

Kaneda was first introduced in chapter 2. Distracted by Tajima Kouichi's request to date him, she walks right in front of a oncoming vehicle and is hit. Fran comes to the rescue, originally, to answer Tajima's call for help but to harvest her organs before calling the authorities. Tajima was so desperate to help Kaneda that Fran takes pity and surgically revives her...and turns her into a caterpillar.
