Kakitsubata Eniwa

The twin brother of Ayame and also an "undercover" resident of the estate. Besides the other 3 main characters, the only people who know of Kakitsubata's existence in the estate are certain members of the estate council and Asa's grandfather. Kakitsubata's physical features are so similar to that of Ayame's that the estate requires him to wear glasses in order to differentiate the two; he often dresses up as a female to attend the academy as Ayame. Kakitsubata's early encounters with Asa are as Ayame where Kakitsubata does his best to interfere with Asa's relations with Renge.

Although very orthodox in front of society, Kakitsubata has much more severe psychological and emotional problems than Ayame after taking many forms of abuse as the sponge for the Eniwa family's familial problems. As the story progresses, Kakitsubata reveals a darker truth asking whether Asa really believes that Kakitsubata lives the way he does as a hobby. For Kakitsubata, his one true belief that he repeats to himself is, "if Ayame is happy, then I am happy".
