Master "suppa" (ninja) who worked for the Mastudaira clan. Hanzō took over his clan, the legendary Hattori ninja of Iga, when he was only fifteen years old. He was then charged with protecting its heir, Matsudaira Jirousaburou Motonobu, the man who would later rule Japan as Tokugawa Ieyasu.
