He first makes an appearance in Volume 5 when Henry and Calera attend the yearly vampire council meeting. He is a long-time friend of Henry Marker. He lives the life of a Yakuza in the Kansai area of Japan and speaks in Kansai dialect. He has a Napoleon complex and gets angry when someone mentions his diminutive height.
