Manabu Nanao

Manabu is a second year and the ex-captain of the boys Kendo Club. After he was defeated by Mei when he was a second year, he secluded himself in the mountains to train. There he was attacked by a bear. After waking up in the hospital he returned to the mountains to defeat that bear which took him a year. During training he fell in love with Mei and challenged her to a fight. The prize was that she would go out with him. Because Shirou disagreed with that bet Nanao misunderstood and promised to go out with Shirou if he lost. In the end he lost and now believes that he's going out with Shirou. His father disappeared leaving back his wife, Manabu, the first born son and Manabu's four younger brothers and three younger sisters who like him all fell in love with Mei.
