Komaki Jindai

Komaki Jindai is a second-year student at Eisui Girls' High School in Kagoshima Prefecture and a supporting character in the manga "Saki". She and the other members of Eisui's team are shrine maidens; she belongs to the primary branch family of the maidens' lineage and is affectionately called "Princess" by the others. A year prior to the events of the story she had achieved fame as one of the new monsters of the nationals, but pushed herself too hard. Komaki's true power awakens after she falls "asleep" during her matches; otherwise, she is a relatively weak player. Her true power is shown when she sleeps , so much so that other powerful players can feel her presence. Toyone Anetai commented on how last year she completely sealed Rise Fujiwara. Kyouko Suehara claims that part of Eisui's strategy is to let Komaki go for the big hands and that she will play multiple styles, but is a little shaky sometimes. Toshi Kumakura claims that Komaki takes out the weakest player with her nine gates yakuman (and that hand is shown in the nationals preview in the anime). Her powers seem to stem from her being a vessel for many goddess spirits.
