Suzu Ueshige

Suzu Ueshige is a second-year student at Himematsu High School in South Osaka and a supporting character in the manga "Saki". Her mahjong play is somewhat inconsistent, and she is often bullied by other members of the school's mahjong club. Suzu was added to Himematsu's tournament team by acting coach Ikuno Akasaka because teammate Kyouko Suehara believed in her playing potential. Although Suzu is a relatively weak mahjong player, she has a history of winning explosively with big hands in matches with a simple format. Kyouko takes note of this and suggests that it makes her a viable wildcard member.
