One of the main protagonists of the story, Kyou is never seen without the guitar on her back. She is pretty melancholy and serious looking but can be seen smiling occasionally. Kyou, just like Touto, is also in a possession of a small good luck charm thing she calls Taro and who, together with her trusty guitar, can also turn into a huge wolf-like beast to fend off adversaries.

Not much is known about her, besides the fact that she's often late for class - Touto calls her 'Tardy Girl' - and she has a friendly and easy-going relationship with Taro.
