Youichi Amano is a 38-year-old manga artist that resides in Setouchi in Okayama Prefecture. He is known for creating action-packed fantasy manga series, but he is most known for creating Akaboshi: Ibun Suikoden, a series that is based on a Chinese novel, Shui Hu Zhuan. He also assisted Hideaki Sorachi for the popular comical series, Gintama, and Touru Uchimizu for the historical drama manga, Agrippa.
