Sakuya Shiina lives with Kanade, her male cousin that’s now her foster parent. People in the neighborhood are always talking about how Sakuya was abandoned, and that Kanade is a good-for-nothing. Knowing that these words are untrue and that she’s actually happy, Sakuya looks at the stars whenever she needs comfort. On her birthday, a boy named Chihiro shows up and gives Sakuya the kind words she’s always wanted to hear. When it turns out neither Kanade or Sakuya knew him, Sakuya sets out to find the mysterious Chihiro! What will happen to her if she reunites with this boy that is the starry night sky personified? Is it possible for these lone stars to shine together?
