Young Kairi has a humble life of working at an oil station with his friend, Arufa. But he has dreams of seeing the outside world, and growing stronger like the Zoid slayers he admires -- Zoids being the animal-machines that prowl through the outskirts of the city. One day, a strange girl named Tia stops by the station carrying a huge sword. It appears that the sword belongs to her older brother, Eruinn, a Zoid slayer that saved Kairi and Arufa’s lives before.
