Takeshi Obata
Takeshi Obata has been the illustrator for several high-popular mangas such as “Hikaru no Go” and “Death Note.” At just 16, his talent was recognized with the Tezuka Award.
Obata excels at bringing the stories of manga writers to life with his art, able to portray gothic beauty, thrilling action, and playful everyday life. His style is exceptionally detail-oriented with sharp linework and beautiful shading in both his backgrounds and characters. He claims that drawing pretty people like girls are hard for him, but all his characters are unarguably attractive.
