This is a prequel to Osamu Tezuka’s famous “Astro Boy,” and depicts events up until the birth of Astro Boy. In the future, robots have become a huge part of society, but in the end, they are heartless tools. Umatarou Tenma and Hiroshi Ochanomizu are two young researchers wishing to change that. To that end, they work together to create the robot “A106,” known simply as “Six.” While Ochanomizu wants Six to be a friend, Tenma hopes for Six to become a man-made god. As Six learns more, which will he grow to become?
