Description
The protagonist is Rei, a 17-year-old shogi player. He lives by himself, not having a family, and does not go to school and has scarcely any friends. Among his acquaintances is a family, which consists of a young woman, Akari, and two young girls, Momo and Hinata, and who also keep a numerous number of cats.

Chika Umino
Chika Umino is a manga artist, an illustrator, a designer, and a self-proclaimed otaku. Chika Umino is not her real name because it is just her pen name based on the name of her favorite place, Umi no Chikaku no Youenchi, an amusement park near the sea. You may know her popular works such as the noteworthy, Honey and Clover, and her most recent work, March Comes in Like a Lion both of which got anime adaptations. She also designed the characters for the anime, Eden of the East, and background illustration for the second season of the Monogatari Series. Thanks to her notable works, she has received awards like the Kondanshi Manga Awards, Manga Taishou, and Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize.
