“Not a single soul has managed to sneak past Governor Wolfram, for nothing can escape his keen eye.” In the 14th century, between Switzerland and Italy there laid St. Gotthard Pass, also known as “The Wolf’s Maw.” People wishing to flee the Habsburg Monarchy or for various other reasons try to cross through the dangerous pass -- though the entry fee could just be their life. Wolfram is the cruel, sadistic governor that watches over The Wolf’s Maw, interrogates and slaughters any who step foot within the pass. With such a wide range of individuals and their cases that come to travel through, are there any who would survive the tragedy awaiting them? And who is Wolfram, actually?
