Blue Dragon: RalΩGrado is a manga based on the Blue Dragon video game series. In this world, shadows, mysterious and otherwordly beings, can fuse with their human hosts. Ral gets imprisoned in his father's castle dungeon as a baby together his shadow, a Blue Dragon named Grado. The only person that would visit him and give him some sort of companionship was his tutor, called Mio. After fifteen years of confinement, the castle itself is threatened by an attack by the shadows, and Ral's tutor releases him from his confinement so they can hopefully fight back against this attack and drive the shadows away.
