Under the depths of the sea, the handsome King of Laedonti, a merman, longs for the sun. However, in his curiosity of the world above, he catches a glimpse of the beautiful Princess Evyione, who also finds his gaze beneath the waves. When Evyione falls off of the ship, he saves her by giving her the breath of life. It is at that moment that he realizes that he does not wish to simply drag her under the sea to be a living corpse -- rather, he would love to join her under the sun. Thus he seeks the help of the sea witch, Edga, to become human even at the price of any suffering. But is he truly prepared to for the world on land?
