Tsukumo Tachibana

Tsukumo, a girl who cannot feel any kind of physical pain has lived out her life training to be the heir of a small dojo owner by her father. She finds out at the age of sixteen that she is the Maiden of the Tokijiku, having the power to grant immortality to any being in the mortal realm. Having awakened as a demigod, she meets a young man named Yao who is immortal and is charged with the duty of being the Shield of the Tokijiku. Hunted by Tsukumogami, inanimate objects that have gained sentience, she copes with the implications of bearing the abilities of the Tokijiku.
