Natsuhiko Kyougoku is a Japanese writer born on March 26, 1963. He writes mystery novels that contain supernatural elements, especially yokai, a topic he has a special interest. His first novel "The Summer of the Ubume" had great success and inspired the creation of Mephisto Award, which honors new mystery and fantasy writers.
