In a society where money is king, the young men known as "flowers" hold a special role. In exchange for financial support, they serve their “flower masters” as symbols of taste, status, and wealth. Bought and sold at the whim of their masters, theirs is a precarious existence - save for the few who are lucky enough to have masters who can see the person behind the flower. Nagayoshi is the eldest son of the Sumeragi clan, a noble family famous for their “Great Tree” status (those that host “flower festivals” that show off these beautiful men). However, the prestige of their festivals have declined, taken over by the rival Rokuonin group. When Nagayoshi decides to attend a Rokuonin flower festival, he’s immediately captivated by the flower Fujiwaka, who is owned by Rokuonin’s current head.
