Before summer started, Makoto suddenly died. But somehow, she’s still living in Hana’s apartment as a corpse. She can’t talk much, and scars litter her body. Every day she has to wear a muzzle so that she doesn’t accidentally eat Hana. The two slowly build a secret life, but mystery surrounds Makoto’s death and the nature of her and Hana’s relationship when she still lived. But the more the days pass, the worse Makoto’s condition seems to get, and all the while, memories of the past come creeping back. This is the story of one girl’s summer while taking care of a corpse.
