Go Nagai
Born as Kiyoshi Nagai, Go Nagai is a mangaka notorious for his unconventional and controversial stories. His mature shounen series “Harenchi Gakuen” was the first to introduce erotism to manga, and he’s credited for creating the Super Robots trope. His manga boldly tackle taboos with dark and erotic themes and plenty of fanservice and body horror -- a novelty when he first started out, when manga was much tamer. Nagai’s works are also filled with gag and inappropriate comedy. His series “Devilman” is a perfect example of all of Nagai’s strengths rolled into one wild, deranged ride.
