Recently, a mysterious and terrifying event has been sweeping the streets of Japan and claiming victims: people are turning into mummies and dying. Kishida Miiko is an ordinary inhabitant of K City, also known as “Demon Town” -- and she’s about to have her first brush with the supernatural. Shimura Tokio is a boy with a demon named “Catoblepas” in his left eye. With the demon, Tokio has magic time-based powers, and he uses his abilities to get rid of evil. As he races to prevent Miiko from becoming another mummified victim, their lives are changed forever.
